Ms. Chock - Fine Arts: Drawing and Painting
Bio:
Born and raised in Hawaii, I am a high school graduate of Baldwin High School on Maui. I was inspired to become a high school art teacher after having a high school drawing and painting teacher who was as passionate about her students as she was about art.
I hope to bring to Kalaheo High School the same dedication, pride, and passion that were instilled in me.
My students can expect to strengthen their skills in drawing and painting, art composition planning, and using art to communicate. Some students will participate in art exhibition and competition during their high school art career. Kalaheo High School's Fine Arts Department participates annually in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, Congressional Art Competition, and YAM (Youth Art Month) Competition.
Education:
I received my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Painting and my PBCSE (Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Secondary Education) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I am a licensed teacher in the State of Hawaii.
I have taught at Kalaheo High School since 2016.
I have one daughter, Jillienne and two dogs; Turtl and Gypsy
